Koshi Chimes

These beautiful chimes are handmade in bamboo and metal in the Pyrenean mountains. They produce complex combinations of clear tones with many stunning overtones. There are four different tunings based on the elements - air, wind, fire and water - they make the most gentle harmonious sounds that soothe and move you. I use them individually or together. A child I worked with aptly described them as the ‘angel sounds’.

Meditation Bell

Bells have been used for centuries by those who practise meditation to promote a sense of peace and calm and as a focus of meditation to connect with the present moment. Some believe they can be used to dispel the negative energy in the room and to attract non-human entities that will help self-healing.

I use the ephermal sounds of bells to signify time intervals and to promote a sense of ritual. I also listen to changes in their long sustaining sound to assess differences in the magnetic field around you which, along with my intuition and your intention (hope) for the session, guides the unique combination of instruments and sounds that I create for your session.

Tingshas

Like meditation bells, they have their origin in Buddhism and have been used for centuries as part of rituals and to focus the ‘monkey mind’. They have a high-pitched sound with long sustain. I listen to changes in their long- lasting sound to help assess where there may be unease in your body or the magnetic field around you. I may also use an energy chime for this purpose too.
